ISESCO condemns terrorist attack on security checkpoint in North Sinai Governorate

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has condemned the terrorist attack perpetrated today against a security checkpoint of the Egyptian Army in North Sinai Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt, causing the death and injury of 15 soldiers, according to a statement by the military spokesperson.

On this occasion, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General, casted this terrorist act as a crime and havoc on earth that must be severely punished and reiterated ISESCO’s solidarity with Egypt in its fight against all forms of terrorism.

He also called on the international community to support the efforts of the Egyptian Government in its pursuit to eradicate terrorist elements and disseminate peace and security in the region.
