    ISESCO condemns detonation of explosive device near Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo 

    The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) condemned the terrorist blast yesterday evening near Al-Azhar Mosque, in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, which killed 3 people according to the statement of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior.

    In this regard, ISESCO Director General, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri stated that this terrorist act is a crime and havoc on earth that should be severely punished, while reaffirming  ISESCO’s support to the Arab Republic of Egypt in the fight against all forms of terrorism. He also called on the international community to support the sustained efforts of the Egyptian government to pursue and eliminate terrorists.

    Furthermore, Dr Altwaijri beseeched Allah Al-mighty to have mercy and forgiveness on the martyrs of this heinous terrorist attack and grant patience and solace to their families.
