    ISESCO and FUIW hold in Uganda a lecture and photo gallery on Sacred City glorification causes

    The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), in collaboration with the Sacred City Glorification Project in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), will hold the lecture on “Characteristics of the Haram Mosque” and the “Clear Signs” photo gallery of Makkah Al-Mukarramah landmarks, on 3-4 September 2019, at the IUIU headquarters in Mbale, Republic of Uganda.

    Dr. Talal Bin Mohammed Abulnour, General Supervisor of the Sacred City Glorification Project, will deliver the lecture. The aim of both the lecture and the gallery is to introduce the project with a view to build a common culture among Muslims about the codes of conduct in the Sacred City in such a way as to consolidate the values ​​of glorification of the city. The event also seeks to encourage scientific research bodies, universities and study centers to integrate glorification issues into their scientific research projects, enhance their contribution to enriching the glorification observatory with scientific materials and statistical data on various glorification issues, and present local experiences with such issues, through Hajj travels, action to change stereotypes, countering of doubts and misconceptions about the Holy City and the Hajj ritual through optimal use of modern media and communication techniques.

    The gallery will exhibit scientific and informational illustrations and explanations about the project, the “clear signs” in the Haram Mosque, and the monuments and landmarks of Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

    On this occasion, a seminar will be held with postgraduate research students and teaching staff at UIUI to explore ways of integrating glorification issues into relevant future research projects.
