    ICESCO Educational Center in Malaysia Organizes Various Activities in Celebration of World Arabic Language Day

    On the World Arabic Language Day, celebrated on December 18 of every year, ICESCO Educational Center in Malaysia organized several educational activities, in cooperation with the Religious Education Division at the Malaysian Ministry of Education, the Institute of Teacher Education at the Higher Institute of Teachers, and the Faculty of Islamic Studies in the National University of Malaysia. 

    The celebration program included three activities: a scientific forum under the theme “Linguistic Borrowing and Contrastive Studies between Arabic and Malay,” organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Islamic Studies in the National University of Malaysia; a panel discussion for new teachers on “Adopting Arabic as an Instruction Language in Classrooms to Develop Students’ Language Skills,” organized in cooperation with the Institute of Teacher Education at the Higher Institute of Teachers; and an online scientific symposium on “Teaching and Learning Arabic in the Post-COVID-19 Era,” which brought together international experts from Malaysia, Morocco and France.

    Many students and teachers from Malaysia and abroad took part in these educational activities via videoconference and on social networks.
