The Education Sector of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) held a meeting with the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation in the United States of America to strengthen their cooperation in the field of education and ensure the right to education for all.

During the meeting, held via videoconference with Mrs. Anjali Kochar, Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr. Koumbou Bolly Barry, Head of the Education Sector, stressed the importance of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between ICESCO and the Foundation on specific projects and activities of interest to the Organization’s Member States, mainly the holding by ICESCO of the International Conference of Nobel Laureates in 2023, to inspire the youth of the Islamic world to embrace creativity and innovation.

For her part, Mrs. Kochar welcomed the joint activities and programs to be implemented between the two sides after the signing of the said memorandum, especially in the areas of combating child labor, girls’ education, awareness programs targeting youth, religious, community and government leaders, as well as civil society and non-governmental organizations.
